Bawumia’s Humility Is Contrary To Mahama’s…His Popularity In Ashanti Region Is Unparalled- Sir John Confesses

Vice Chairman for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency of the NPP, Mr John Kwame Duodu popularly known as Sir John says the popularity of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the Ashanti is unparalleled.

Speaking to newsmen, Sir John stressed that the recent tour of the region by the Vice President who doubles as the party’s flag-bearer was evidence to same.

Sir John, who is Deputy Organiser for Friends oF Bawumia said it was humbling seeing huge numbers welcoming Dr Bawumia at everywhere he touched base at.

“It was clear that Dr Bawumia is loved by Ashanti Region and this was evidently clear at where we visited including Suame Magazine, Manhyia, the Clergy meetings as well as that of organised labour, business groups and traders in the region”, he stated.

Admonition:

Sir John called on NPP members to stay united and campaign on projects and programmes the party has implemented for the past 7 years.

He noted that the display of unity within the party is a significant advantage as the party heads into the upcoming general election.

The Vice Chairman commended the party for showing signs of it, adding that it was so overwhelming that every party member showed love.

“Without unity, success is unattainable”, the NPP Vice Chairman stated.

Otumfuo’s Comments:

Sir John expressed happiness about the description of Dr Bawumia by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.

He noted that for Otumfuo to attest to the humble nature and untainted character of the flag-bearer speak volumes, adding that this is bigger than any endorsement.

The NPP Vice Chairman said this humility attribute of Dr Bawumia is contrary to the attitude of his main contender, John Mahama, who he said insulted Ashantis during the 2016 elections by calling them ungrateful beings.

“In every place Dr Bawumia visited he was endorsed by chiefs, opinion leaders, business leaders and the clergy and this shows that we have selected a leader who will use humility to lead us from 2025 to attaining economic progress”, Sir posited.
