With profound grief and solemn respect, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, officially announces the passing of Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom III, the cherished Asantehemaa and Mother of Asanteman.

Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom III, whose reign was marked by maternal wisdom, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of her people, has been called to rest after years of selfless service to the Ashanti Kingdom. Her leadership bridged generations, and her nurturing spirit will remain an enduring symbol of unity and grace.

In accordance with Asante custom and tradition, the one-week observation will be held on Thursday, 21st August, at the forecourt of the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. On this day, chiefs, queen mothers, dignitaries, and the people of Asanteman, alongside friends from across Ghana and beyond, will gather to pay homage and celebrate the life of a queen whose counsel and presence touched many lives.

All well-wishers, citizens of Asanteman, and sympathizers are respectfully invited to join this sacred gathering, as drummers, horn blowers, and the royal court usher the nation into a period of mourning. The black and red colours of grief will envelop Manhyia, as tradition dictates, while the Golden Stool itself stands in solemn remembrance of its Mother.

May the soul of Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom III find eternal rest in the bosom of the Almighty, and may her memory inspire generations yet unborn.
