Building Roads, Bridging Lives: A Visit to Ongoing Projects in Sekyere Afram Plains

As I stepped out of my vehicle onto the dusty roads of Sekyere Afram Plains, I was filled with a deep sense of pride and responsibility. Representing this beloved constituency is more than a title,it’s a commitment. And at the heart of that commitment lies one critical mission: improving our road infrastructure.

In communities like Nyameama No.1, Abenoa, Dawia, and Mempekasa, ongoing road construction and maintenance works are not just projects—they are lifelines. These roads connect our farmers to markets, our students to their schools, and our families to greater opportunities.

During my visit, I walked along the roads under construction, inspecting the progress and engaging directly with contractors. I asked the tough questions, about timelines, standards, and sustainability, and I was encouraged by the diligence and care being applied to the work.

But the true highlight of the day was meeting with members of the community. I listened to their concerns, welcomed their suggestions, and shared a broader vision for our constituency. Their enthusiasm was infectious, their hope unmistakable. These roadworks are more than gravel and tar—they symbolize progress, dignity, and shared purpose.

When these roads are completed, they will transform lives. Farmers will move their goods to market more efficiently. Children will reach school safely and on time. Families will connect with the services and opportunities they deserve.

As I wrapped up my inspection, I felt a quiet satisfaction. We are making real progress—tangible, visible, and meaningful. And it’s happening because we are working together, with purpose and unity.

Together, we are paving the way, literally and figuratively, for a better, brighter Sekyere Afram Plains. And I remain honored to walk that road with you.
