We Can Secure 85% of Ashanti Votes:Dr Napo Asserts.
The Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has urged members of the party to work beyond themselves so as to achieve the target set by the Ashanti regional Chairman of securing 85% of the popular votes in the Region.
Dr Opoku-Prempeh said nothing can stop the NPP from achieving such a feat when they resolve to doing their bit to help realise same.
Addressing party faithful and NPP aligned groups at the party’s campaign teams launch at the Rattray Park in Kumasi on Sunday, Dr Opoku Prempeh popularly called Napo stated that the NPP supercedes the largest opposition party in every development programme, adding that this would make the people retain the NPP in power.
“We in the NPP have a solid record in the 8 years Nana Akufo-Addo has been in power and our record remains unmatched due to the various development we’ve led in every sector of the economy”, Dr Napo stressed.
Comparison:
In Education, Dr Napo said the free senior high school policy introduced by the NPP government in 2017 has enabled almost all JHS students who sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to gain access to secondary school.
Instead of the over 100, 000 students that sat at the house anytime the BECE exams were conducted due to lack of access, Dr Napo noted that these numbers have gained access to SHS Education.
The NPP Vice Presidential candidate said access to health care by the end of the year would be unprecedented due to the 111 hospitals being constructed across the country by the NPP government.
“In every sector including Education and Health, the NPP is unmatched and our record speaks for us having achieved the best results in WASSCE in 2020 after the roll out of the free SHS which has increased access and performances. Aside that we are also constructing the largest health infrastructure where 111 hospitals 🏥 would be finished by end of year to take care of health issues in Ghana 🇬🇭 “, Dr Napo stated.
Chairman Wontumi:
Inaugurating and swearing in the campaign teams and committees, the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NPP, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako urged the members to commit themselves to the tasks ahead of them.
He asked for sacrifice and selflessness as they set out to play their roles.
The Regional Chairman asked for unity and dedication from each of the members so as to enable the party to secure the set target of 85% of the popular votes in Ashanti and all parliamentary seats in the region.
“It is possible to win 85% of the popular votes in Ashanti and win all the 47 Parliamentary seats if we commit to do our best in selling our message to the people in the region through strategic campaigns starting today”, the regional Chairman charged.
