The Chief Executive Officer of NBN Roofing Enterprise, Nana Baffour, has appealed to Ghanaians to show stronger support for the country’s security personnel, stressing that their sacrifices are vital in keeping communities safe.
Speaking at the Ashanti South Regional Police Service’s annual thanksgiving,get-together and awards presentation in Bekwai, the philanthropist and businessman said government alone cannot bear the burden of maintaining peace and order, since security is a shared responsibility.
“Security is the foundation of development. When we support the police, the military, and other security agencies with resources, we help reduce insecurity and protect lives. Government cannot do it alone,” he said.
The Bekwai area, which now falls under the newly created Ashanti South Regional Police Command, has enjoyed calm and stability since its establishment. Nana Baffour attributed this to the hard work of the security services and pledged his continuous backing.
As part of his contribution, he recently constructed and donated an ultra-modern police edifice to the service, a gesture he believes will strengthen law enforcement in the area.
He further assured that he remains committed to partnering with security agencies to ensure lasting peace in Bekwai and beyond.
