As thousands of Senior High School candidates gear up for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), two Municipal Chief Executives (MCEs) in the Ashanti Region have delivered a timely message of inspiration and caution.
The Ejisu MCE, Hon. Jerryne Asante, and the Juaben MCE, Hon. Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu, jointly called on candidates to approach the exams with discipline, honesty, and hard work, urging them to shun all forms of malpractice as they prepare to sit for their first core paper on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Speaking in Ejisu during a media engagement, Hon. Jerryne stressed the need for students to uphold integrity in their academic journey:
“This examination is not just a test, it is a stepping stone to a bigger world of opportunities. Take your books seriously, believe in your efforts, and write with confidence. Never compromise your future with shortcuts.”
Hon. Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu, on her part, encouraged students to remain focused while assuring Juaben residents of government’s broader Resetting Agenda, led by President John Dramani Mahama. She highlighted key initiatives, including the construction of a modern market, a state-of-the-art hospital, and expanded access to tertiary education.
“We are determined to bring social and economic transformation closer to the people. The Resetting Agenda is not just a promise,it is a roadmap to development for every community,” she stated.
Meanwhile,Hon.Jerryne reaffirmed her commitment to completing abandoned infrastructural projects within Ejisu, with priority on the Ejisu,Kwaso road and other key routes to ensure safer and more accessible roads.
The joint appeal by the two MCEs has been widely described as timely and motivating, especially as candidates prepare for one of the most defining moments in their academic journey.
