Atwima Kwanwoma DCE, Grace Asamoah, Cautions BECE Candidates Against Examination Malpractice

The District Chief Executive of Atwima Kwanwoma in the Ashanti Region, Honourable Grace Asamoah Agyemang, has urged candidates sitting the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination in a district to desist from engaging in any acts that contravene the regulations spelt out by the West African Examinations Council.

Speaking in an interview after Day 1 tour on Wednesday, 11th June 2025, she encouraged the candidates to have believe in themselves as they make adequate preparations for the examination. She also donated pens to all the candidates.

The Municipal Director of Education, Doris Ofori, has expressed great confidence that all the 7,158 candidates from 140 schools across the district would excel because of the intensity of their preparations for the examination. She revealed that the candidates have been direct beneficiaries of series of workshops, orientations and training programmes held by the education directorate for the teachers. She noted that with the new curriculum, questions are structured in a way which requires candidates to apply logic and critical reasoning to find answers.
