The drive to improve education in Kumawu received a major push as the Member of Parliament, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, delivered a GH¢10,000 cash donation and 24 street light bulbs to Sekyere Kusi Senior High School.

The MP said the gesture forms part of his commitment to transforming schools across the constituency. He noted that the installation of new street lights will significantly enhance night-time visibility and campus security, giving students a safer environment for evening studies while protecting school property.

Hon. Anim also made a crucial pledge, announcing that he will provide GH¢10,000 every quarter to support the completion of classroom blocks initiated by the late Hon. Philip Basoah. He stressed that continuing the late MP’s development agenda is a duty he intends to fulfill to ensure students learn in a conducive and well-resourced environment.

The Headmaster, Nana Obrempong Nkrumah Agyei II, who received the items, thanked the MP for the timely assistance. He explained that the school is struggling to meet infrastructure demands due to rising enrollment, making the MP’s intervention both strategic and necessary.

He further appealed for additional support, listing the school’s pressing needs such as a boys’ dormitory, a pickup vehicle for administrative duties, a proper dining hall, and other essential facilities needed to improve academic performance and student welfare.
