Kwadaso Residents Push for Contractor Change on Ohwimase-Foase Road
Residents of four communities within the Kwadaso Municipality are demanding an immediate reassignment of the stalled Ohwimase-Foase road project, calling for reputable contractor Kofi Job to replace Asabea Constructions, whom they accuse of abandoning the project for nearly eight years.
The aggrieved residents hit the streets on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, to protest the poor condition of the road, insisting government must intervene to terminate the existing contract. They argue that Asabea Constructions has failed to show commitment to the project, leaving the road in a deplorable state that continues to affect social and economic activities.
Speaking in an interview with media, some residents highlighted the impressive work done by Kofi Job in the municipality, especially around the Diamond Hills enclave, as evidence of his capability.
We all witnessed the quality road network he delivered at Diamond Hills. His works across the country are proof of his expertise,” a protester said.
Another resident added:
“We believe strongly that if government hands this project to Kofi Job, we will finally see a quality road here.”
According to the residents, the poor road condition continues to cause transportation challenges, business losses, and emergency access issues for the affected communities.
Kofi Job Construction Limited has gained nationwide recognition for executing major road infrastructure projects efficiently and to standard, making him the preferred choice of the protesting residents.
They are therefore calling on government to heed their plea and reassign the Ohwimase-Foase project to ensure rapid and quality completion.
