QNET URGES GHANAIANS TO VERIFY JOB OFFERS AS 320 ARRESTED IN MASSIVE ANTI-FRAUD OPERATION
A joint security operation by the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) and officials of QNET has led to the arrest of 320 persons believed to be operating human-trafficking and fraudulent recruitment networks in Kenyasi and Buoho in the Ashanti Region.
According to QNET representatives, the syndicate has been preying on unsuspecting individuals across the country, luring them with false promises of high-paying jobs, scholarships, and overseas travel opportunities.
Speaking on behalf of the company, Theodocia Naana Bennieh Quartey, QNET’s Head of Compliance, expressed grave concern over the persistent misuse of the company’s identity by criminal groups. She emphasized that QNET is committed to protecting the public and is collaborating with law enforcement agencies to track, arrest, and prosecute fraudsters tarnishing the company’s image.
She noted that the current arrests form part of a broader effort to curb crimes related to human trafficking and economic fraud, stressing that perpetrators will face the full rigour of the law.
“We are working closely with EOCO and other security agencies to ensure that those abusing QNET’s name are brought to justice,” she said.
Mrs. Quartey urged the public to exercise caution and conduct proper background checks before committing to any recruitment or business opportunity advertised under QNET’s name. She further encouraged citizens to report suspicious activities directly to QNET or law enforcement agencies for swift action.
