Three Arraigned Before Bekwai Circuit Court Over Alleged Robbery

Bekwai,Ashanti Region-Three individuals have been arraigned before the Circuit Court in Bekwai for their alleged involvement in a robbery incident that occurred at Ekorase near Jacobu in the Ashanti Region.
The accused persons, identified as Justice Oduro, also known as Akwasi Ketewaa (alias Kwame), George Tweneboah, and Kwaku T.T, are facing two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery, contrary to Sections 23(1) and 149 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
According to the charge sheet presented by the prosecution, the accused persons allegedly conspired and acted together with a common purpose to commit robbery on August 18, 2025, within the jurisdiction of the court.
Prosecution’s Case
The court heard that the accused persons, using force and threats, robbed several victims at Ekorase. Items allegedly stolen include radio sets, mobile phones, a touch light, and cash, as well as a gold detector machine and quantities of gold.
The total value of the stolen items is estimated at GH₵38,320.00.
Victims named in the case include Agyemang Charles, Kwabena Owusu, Kwabena Deen, Kwaku Osei, Appiah Paul, and Musah Yussif.
One Suspect Still at Large
While two of the accused persons are in custody, the third suspect,Kwaku T.T, is reportedly at large, and efforts are ongoing by law enforcement agencies to apprehend him.
Court Proceedings
The accused were reportedly arrested on August 18, 2025, without a warrant. Details regarding their plea, remand status, and the next adjournment date were not immediately available at the time of filing this report.
The case has been adjourned for further proceedings as investigations continue.
