Hon. Issahaque Ibrahim Supports Alma Maters with Learning Materials

In a heartwarming gesture of giving back, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Issahaque Ibrahim, revisited his alma maters Nyinahin Islamic Primary School and Nyinahin D/A Junior High School earlier this week. He interacted with pupils and donated essential learning materials to support their studies.

The items donated included books, pens, boxes of pencils, and other supplies worth thousands of Ghana cedis.

The visit was marked by excitement among both staff and pupils, as Hon. Issahaque encouraged the children to remain dedicated to their education. Quoting from the Holy Qur’an, he highlighted the spiritual significance of learning: “Read in the name of your Lord who created” (Qur’an 96:1) and “Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees”.

“These two schools laid the foundation for my journey, and I see it not only as a personal responsibility but also as a spiritual obligation to give back and support their growth,” he stated.

Teachers and pupils expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, noting that the materials would go a long way in improving teaching and learning outcomes. Some staff members also commended the DCE for remembering his roots and serving as an inspiration to the younger generation.

The donation forms part of his broader commitment to educational development in the district, with a focus on nurturing future leaders and improving academic performance.

He concluded with a prayer for Allah’s blessings and guidance in all efforts aimed at shaping the future of the district through education.

“May Allah continue to bless our efforts in raising a generation of leaders who will contribute positively to society,” he added.
