MTN Ghana Supports Ada Asafotufiami Festival
MTN donates to Ada Traditional Council in support of Asafotufiami Festival
Mobile telecommunications giant, MTN Ghana donated to the Ada Traditional Council in support of the annual Asafotufiami Festival.
This donation held on Friday, August 2 is part of MTN Ghana’s efforts to celebrate and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Ada people.
Regional Sales Manager, Francis Gyan, led the MTN team to present the cheque of GH¢ 15,000.00 and other items to the Ada Traditional Council in support of the 2024 Asafotufiami festival.
“In demonstrating our continued commitment towards the celebration of Ada Asafotufiami festival, we are here to present cheque of GH¢ 15,000.00, MTN Airtime worth GH¢ 1,000.00, A drinks hamper. To provide a distinct customer experience during the celebration, MTN will set up experience centers at vantage points.”

He noted that MTN will set up its experience centers at strategic locations during the festival to provide a unique customer experience and address customer issues.
During the visit, Francis took the opportunity to brief the council on the ongoing network upgrade initiatives.
“We also want to use this opportunity to inform the Traditional Council that MTN Ghana is upgrading the network across the country. The network upgrade started in June 2024 and is expected to end in August 2024. The upgrade involves the replacement of existing mobile network infrastructure with more efficient and environmentally friendly equipment.”
“MTN’s donation today affirms our appreciation for your support, patronage, and loyalty to MTN,” Mr Gyan stated.

Nene Agudey Obitchere III, Manklalo of Ada, received the donation and expressed their appreciation to MTN for our consistent support over the years.
The Council also thanked the team for keeping them informed about the network upgrade.
