Youth group engages Nkawie District Police Command, pledges collaboration for peace, safety, and development
Kotokuom Youth for Development has taken a significant step toward strengthening community engagement and security cooperation after paying a courtesy call on the Nkawie District Police Commander on Wednesday.

The visit, led by the Chairman of the organization, Abdul Rahim Fathi, aimed to officially introduce the group to the District Police Command while exploring avenues for collaboration to enhance peace, safety, and development within Kotokuom and its surrounding communities.
During the engagement, the leadership of the youth group outlined its vision and objectives, emphasizing its commitment to promoting unity, youth empowerment, and community-driven development initiatives.
The group also expressed its readiness to work closely with the Ghana Police Service to address security concerns and support efforts to maintain law and order.
Chairman Abdul Rahim Fathi noted that building a strong relationship with the police is essential in fostering a safe and conducive environment for development. He underscored the importance of collaboration between the youth and security agencies in curbing crime and ensuring that residents can go about their daily activities without fear.
He further indicated that the organization intends to play an active role in community sensitization and support policing efforts, particularly in areas such as crime prevention, information sharing, and the promotion of civic responsibility among the youth.

The Nkawie District Police Commander warmly received the delegation and commended Kotokuom Youth for Development for its proactive initiative. He encouraged the group to maintain open communication with the police and to serve as reliable partners in promoting security within the community.
The Commander also highlighted the importance of community involvement in policing, stressing that effective security is achieved when residents and law enforcement agencies work hand in hand. He assured the group of the Police Command’s readiness to collaborate in advancing safety and peace in the area.
Both parties expressed optimism about the prospects of the partnership and agreed to strengthen engagement in the coming months to ensure sustained collaboration for the benefit of the community.
Kotokuom Youth for Development reaffirmed its commitment to working with key stakeholders, including traditional authorities, security agencies, and local institutions, to promote sustainable development and empower the youth to contribute positively to society.
